Garhwal Heroes, IAF set up clash
NEW DELHI: Kulbhushan scored two goals to help Garhwal Heroes to a 3-0 victory over Amity United in a qualifying round match of the 123rd Durand Cup football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Friday. Gangamlung Kamei scored the third goal for the winner.
In another match, Indian Air Force recorded a 3-1 victory over Army Green, thanks to goals from A. Edwin, W.P. Singh and S. Thapa. Sunil Bhowmik reduced the margin for Army.
The two winners of the day will fight it out for one of the two qualifying spots on Sunday.
Madras Engineering Group (MEG), Bangalore and Army Ordnance Corps (AOC), Secunderabad, will clash for the first of the two qualifier's spot on Saturday.
