Parade conducted

SALEM: Railway Protection Force of Salem Division, Southern Railways conducted a parade at office complex of Divisional Railway Manager here on Thursday.

This was done in order to mark the Police Commemoration Day.

P. N. Ram, Divisional Railway Manager, Salem Division, who took part in the event, recalled the names of the martyrs who laid down their lives on duty for various organizations such as Railway Protection Force of different zones, police personnel of various States and members of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Border Security Force (BSF).

Later, he along with P. Kalimuthu, Additional Divisional Railway Manager and R. Durairaj Assistant Security Commissioner, Salem Division placed wreaths at the martyrs' memorial.

The Martyrs' Day Parade was conducted under the command of G. Jayapandian, Inspector, Railway Protection Force, Karur.
