KSWU Sports meet begins today

Bijapur: The two-day seventh intercollegiate athletic meet of Karnataka State Women's University (KSWU) will commence on October 23 at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stadium here.

In a press release, university Vice-chancellor Geeta Bali has said that students of the 74 women's colleges coming under the jurisdiction of Karnataka State Women's University will take part. — Staff Correspondent

The sports meet will be inaugurated by Ramesh Jigajinagi, MP, on October 23 at 10 a.m. Sports Authority of India Regional Director Dr. G. Kishor and winner of Arjuna award K.C. Rosakutty will be the chief guests. KSWU Vice-Chancellor Geeta Bali will preside over the inaugural function of the sports meet. The valedictory function will be held on October 24. KSWU Syndicate member and MLC Arun Shahapur, Superintendent of Police D.C. Rajappa and Syndicate member K.E. Radhakrishna will be the chief guests, added the release.
