Double for Karman and Vishnu Prasad
NEW DELHI: Karman Kaur won a double crown as she captured the under-14 and under-16 girls' titles in the AITA talent series junior tennis tournament at the DDA Sports Complex, Vasant Kunj.
Karman defeated Smriti 6-3, 6-0 in the under-16 final, and beat the same opponent 6-3, 6-3 in the under-14 final.
Vishnu Prasad also bagged a double, clinching the singles and doubles titles in the under-14 section. Vishnu beat Amlaan Jyoti Baruah 6-2, 6-3 in the singles final, and partnering Tejas Kapoor beat Aditya Deswal and Tanishq Mahendru 6-1, 4-6, 6-1 in the doubles final.
Vishnu missed the chance for a triple crown when he lost the under-16 final to Aman Rawat 6-2, 0-6, 3-6. — Special Correspondent
