Toxicology centre set up

ARIYALUR: Collector T.K.Ponnusamy, on Saturday, inaugurated the toxicology centre in the government hospital set up by the Department of Family Welfare exclusively to provide treatment for poison cases. The centre has been provided with latest equipment. Experienced doctors in treating poison cases would also provide training to four doctors at the centre . He said toxicology centres were functioning in 32 hospitals in the State.

Dr.Jayanthi, District Health Officer, Dr.Rajendran, medical officer of Government hospital, doctors from Indian Red Cross Society, attended the function. Later, the Collector planted tree saplings on the government hospital campus.
