NCC competitions

Kozhikode: Winners of the inter-group National Cadet Corps (NCC) competitions being held at Mavoor since October 21 for selection of cadets for the coming Republic Day parade in New Delhi will be presented prizes on Tuesday.

Prizes to be presented

Captain S.K. Batra, Commander, NCC Group Headquarters, Ernakulam, will present the prizes on behalf of the Deputy Director-General of NCC (Kerala and Lakshadweep) at Panchayat Hall in Mavoor at 11 a.m. Competitions have been held for drill, guard of honour, best cadet, ceremonial drill and cultural programmes.

About 100 cadets each from various NCC groups participated in the programmes. Only 100 cadets have been selected to attend the Republic Day parade.

More than 500 cadets, including girls and boys, from Kozhikode, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram districts and Lakshadweep are participating in the camp.
