Indosolar to procure wafers from China

NEW DELHI: Photovoltaic cell manufacturer Indosolar on Tuesday entered into a deal with GCL of China, one of the world's leading wafer suppliers, for procuring high quality wafers. The agreement between the two companies is one of the largest deals in India in the field of alternative energy in recent times, wherein GCL will supply silicon wafers for a value of Rs.2,700 crore to Indosolar in the next four years.

The deal will help the company maintain high growth rate of growth. GCL is China's largest poly silicon producer.
