Regrets ‘Lord Venkateswara' flexi-board
|
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K. Rosaiah on Tuesday expressed regrets over the supporters of B. Usha Rani, Congress legislator from Palakole, in West Godavari district, putting up his portrait by replacing that of Lord Venkateswara in a flexi-board on the podium.
The Chief Minister told reporters that he had no objection to legislators celebrating their birthdays, but unfortunately their overenthusiastic admirers were committing sacrilege by their actions.
He went on to ask his admirers, party leaders and their followers not to repeat such acts.
Mr. Rosaiah pointed out that he was an ‘ordinary human being' and none should liken him to god.
