DINDIGUL: The Fast Track Court awarded life sentence to four persons in a murder case here on Wednesday. The convicts were M. Perumal, husband of Padma, her brothers R. Perumal and Gopal and their friend Senthil. The prosecution said that Padma of Kamarajar Nagar in the temple town had an illegal relationship with Jayaraman for a long time. In July 2008, she ran away with Jayaraman to Mysore and stayed there till August 2008. On a complaint lodged by her husband, the police brought her back to Palani and advised her to live with her husband. But she had reportedly continued her relationship with Jayaraman and refused to listen to her husband's repeated warnings. In a fit of anger, Perumal and his three accomplices abducted Jayaraman in a car on March 2, 2009 and murdered him near Kudiraiyar reservoir. They threw the body near the dam site. Later, the police arrested the four accused and produced before the court. The FTC Judge S. Raju heard the case.
