Stolen property recovered

KHAMMAM: The police arrested two members of an inter-district gang of thieves and recovered stolen gold and silver ornaments besides two cameras from their possession in Kothagudem on Thursday.

Disclosing the details of the arrest to mediapersons in Kothagudem, Circle Inspector A Raghu said that G Malleshwara Rao alias Mallesh, 26, a native of Srikakulum district, was apprehended along with his accomplice M Sampath Reddy, 25, of Kothagudem, at Narkondakar locality in the town while were trying to proceed to Hyderabad to dispose of the stolen property.

Malleshwara Rao, who discontinued his studies at the Intermediate level, allegedly committed seven property offences in Kothagudem, Khammam, and Hanamkonda towns.

Sampath Reddy and another youth, a B.Pharm student of Kothagudem, allegedly participated in some of these offences. Malleshwara Rao met Sampath Reddy in Hyderabad while the latter worked as a private employee in the city last year.
