Tours for students

Tirupur: The scheme promoted by the district administration to enhance the knowledge of students on wildlife and its conservation through conducted tours commenced here on Wednesday.

The project, brainchild of Collector C. Samayamoorthy, was formulated to take children from government and government aided schools in the district on picnics into the pristine locations in the wild.

Mr Samayamoorthy flagged off the first batch of the tour which had 50 students of Nanjappa Corporation Higher Secondary School, Tirupur. They visited the Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary.
