Maiden title for SJN
Coimbatore: Satchidananda Jothi Niketan (Kallar) coasted to a comfortable six-wicket win over Mani HSS and clinched its maiden title in the CDCA under-14 inter-school cricket tournament for the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Metropolis Trophy at the PSG Medical College grounds here on Friday.
In a match reduced to 30 overs a side, Satchidananda, after restricting its opponent to 84 for six, scored the required runs in a shade less than 25 overs.
The scores (final): Mani HSS 84 for six in 30 overs lost to Satchidananda Jothi Niketan 85 for four in 24.1 overs . — Principal Correspondent
