Students submit memorandum

Correspondent

Karwar: Students of automobile engineering section of a polytechnic college in Karwar submitted a memorandum to Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, district in-charge Minister, through the Deputy Commissioner on Friday demanding facilities in their faculty.

They say that because of the lack of a proper laboratory in the college students of automobile engineering are forced to go to Haliyal and Kumta polytechnic colleges. The computer laboratory in the college is also in a bad shape, they alleged.

The electric wires in the college have become old and those who touched the walls experienced electric shock, they said.

The students demanded immediate repairs of electric wires.

The students have drawn the attention of the Minister to the hostel building stating that the “slab of the hostel is collapsing”. They warned that the Government will have to take the responsibility if the hostel building collapsed.
