Raja's spell helps Bharathi to a win

CHENNAI: J. Raja's superb spell of eight for 38 helped Bharathi register a five-wicket win over Fox Trotters in a fourth division ‘A' zone match of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association league here recently.

The scores: Second division: Eagle 162 for seven in 50 overs (M. Shahrukh Khan 39 n.o., S.A. Asif three for 29) lost to TI Cycles 164 for five in 40.3 overs (G. Babu 44, S. Manivannan 34).

Swaraj 180 in 45.4 overs (E. Selva Kumar 74, S. Akesh three for 35, V. Vasudevan three for 37, K. Purushothaman three for 68) lost to TSC 183 for two in 43.3 overs (M. Varun Kumar 65 n.o., S.P. Nathan 38, Chairman Durai 32).

SICAL 197 for nine in 50 overs (Hari Prasad 43, Deepak Singh three for 50, M. Shanmugam four for 59) lost to UFCC (T. Nagar) 199 for three in 41 overs (Sadasiv Iyer 68 n.o., Huzefa Patel 63).
