Subrahmanyam triumphs

HYDERABAD: J. Subrahmanyam won the Sunday invitational chess tournament scoring 4.5 points from five rounds after outwitting former national rapid chess champion G. Srinivas in the final round here on Sunday.

M. Y. Raju and Rahul Srivastav finished second and third respectively with four points each.

Final placings: 1. J. Subrahmanyam, 2. M. Y. Raju, 3. Rahul Srivastav, 4. Sk. Brahman, 5. G. Srinivas.

Age group winners:

Boys: Under-14: A. L. Nihar. Under-10: Vamsikrishna Reddy. Girls: Under-14: Akanksha. Under-10: Natura .
