Praise for AIDS Control Society

COIMBATORE: The Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society has done a good job, according to Collector P. Umanath.

Speaking at a Deepavali celebration, organised by Sharanalayam and the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry', he said the Society had done a tremendous job of reducing the incidence of AIDS and also halting its spread. Every member of the society had a social responsibility towards the other in creating awareness on and stopping the spread of AIDS.

O. Arumugasamy, vice president, ICCI, appreciated the work undertaken by Sharanalayam-Jheevan and called upon every member of society to participate in the good work.

N. Vanitha, Chairperson, Sharanalayam, spoke on the organisation's work.

‘Vriksha', a home for senior citizens from lower economic background was inaugurated.
