Panchayat heads dismissed

ARIYALUR: The District Collector T.K.Ponnusamy has dismissed two panchayat presidents and a vice-president for causing financial loss to the panchayats by acting in contravention to established procedures.

A press release issued by the district administration said the dismissed panchayat functionaries are K.Muniyan, president of Kasankottai village in T.Pazhur panchayat union, and S.Velusamy, vice-president of the same panchayat, and C.Samidurai, president of J.Thathanur panchayat in Jayankondam panchayat union.
