Traffic disrupted following heavy rain

Tirupur: Heavy rain, accompanied by thunder, continued to lash the district on Wednesday causing disruption to smooth flow of traffic at many places.

Following heavy precipitation, water gushed down the Panchalingam falls on Tuesday and Wednesday providing an enchanting experience to the onlookers. The falls is an idyllic spot situated in the vicinity of Thirumoorthy temple and dam.

However, the authorities concerned had enforced a ban on bathing under the falls owing to the heavy velocity at which the water was flowing down the falls.
