AHMEDABAD: Citizens for Justice and Peace, the Mumbai-based voluntary organisation fighting for the 2002 Gujarat riot victims, has said its secretary, Teesta Setalvad, was “not afraid of any investigation” as she and the CJP had done nothing wrong. The judge of the special court hearing the Gulberg Society massacre case, B.U. Joshi, issued orders on Wednesday to the Special Investigation Team to probe complaints made by Raees Khan that she allegedly “tutored' the witnesses to file false affidavits. CJP vice-president Nandan Maluste and other trustees said on Thursday that the allegations made by “the former employee” were “baseless and motivated.” He claimed that Raees Khan, formerly a staff member of the CJP, was discontinued because of his “unethical practices.” He said Mr. Khan was “being used” since September to negate the efforts of the CJP to secure justice for the 2002 riot victims. He said Ms. Setalvad had been made the focus of a “malicious propaganda” by a section of the media.
