Govardhan puja at ISKCON temple today

VISAKHAPATNAM: International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) will be celebrating ‘Go and Govardhan puja' on Sunday on the temple premises at Sagar Nagar.

President of ISKCON (Vizag) stated that the Govardhan hill, as mentioned in the Puranas, will be replicated with five quintals of cooked rice.

A Govardhan Sila has been brought from Vrindavan for the occasion and cows will be worshipped at the temple's Goshala.

Special prasadam

It will be followed by bhajans and kirtans and distribution of special prasadam, consisting of 54 delicacies, in the evening to the visitors.

Poor-feeding will also be undertaken at various areas such as MVP Colony, Jalaripeta, Kurupam Market and Poorna Market on the occasion.
