Special Officers appointed

HYDERABAD: The State Government has appointed senior IAS officers, who worked earlier as Collectors of the five districts likely to be hit by the impending cyclonic storm, as special offices, to guide the administration on meeting the situation.

Revenue Minister D. Prasada Rao told reporters that these officers have been asked to rush to the district headquarters and attend cyclone-related activities, including constant monitoring.

The Revenue Minister said G. Anantharamu had been deputed to Nellore, Karikala Valaven to Prakasam, M. Subrahmanyam to Guntur, S. Rawat to Chittoor and B. R. Meena to Krishna.
