International Urdu conference from Nov. 10

Hyderabad: The 32 {+n} {+d} international Urdu conference will commence on November 10 in Pune coinciding with the birth anniversary of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, eminent educationist and freedom fighter. The three-day conference being organised by the All-India Urdu Educational Committee seeks establishment of a national Urdu commission with a budget of Rs. 1,000 crore, implementation of Prime Minister's 15-point programme and free education for women up to post graduation level.

The Government of India has decided to observe the birth anniversary of Maulana Azad on November 11 as National Education Day.
