THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Biji Varghese of Kerala will lead the Indian women's waterpolo team that will take part in the Asian Games to be held in Guanzhou. The 13-member team was selected from the coaching camp which is in progress at the LNCPE swimming pool. India is taking part in waterpolo for the first time in the history of the games. Kerala Sports Council coach, G. Sreekumar is the chief coach and the team has five players hailing from Kerala. The team: Biji Varghese (captain), Siddha Prabhakar Dahe, M. Mini, Sayali Gudhekar, Renu, Malavika Gubbi, A.A. Archa, M.S. Sruthi, Saranya S. Nair, M.R. Nithya, Varshini Gubbi, Subhangi Bhoito, Eakshita Prasad. Coach: G. Sreekumar. Manager: R.S. Pandey .
