Two of the three interlocutors, Radha Kumar and M.M. Ansari arrived in Leh and held detailed meetings with members of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh, Ladakh Buddhist Association, Anjuman-e-Islamia Ladakh and members of the Congress.

Speaking to Doordarshan, Ms. Radha Kumar said that it was a fruitful visit during which they got various perspectives on the situation. “We talked about various issues from politics to development,” she said.

The third member of the team, Dileep Padgaonkar is out of the country and is expected to join them on a later visit.

Both Ms. Kumar and Mr. Ansari will visit Kargil on Wednesday and hold discussions with members of the Kargil Autonomous Hill Development Council and others.

The interlocutors, sources said, are expected to visit different parts of Kashmir valley including Baramulla in north Kashmir from November 11 to November 13 before leaving for Delhi on November 14.

On November 2, the interlocutors submitted their report to Home Minister P Chidambaram after their maiden visit to the State.
