According to DV and AC sources, Duraisamy, a sago factory owner, approached them with a complaint claiming that Tahsildhar Muthukumaran had allegedly demanded a sum of Rs. 25,000 from him for a name transfer in a land patta. When the official was about to receive the money, he was caught red-handed by a team of DV and AC personnel on Tuesday evening. He was immediately detained for interrogation, the sources said.
