THRISSUR: A youth was killed in a collision involving the motorcycle he was riding and a police jeep at Vellangallur in Irinjalakuda on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Eerakkottil Subhash, 24, of Kallamkunnu. The jeep belonged to the Valapad police station. It collided with the motorcycle when it was overtaking a car. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. The injured motorcyclist was rushed to a hospital but his life could not be saved.
