Thangkabalu gets threat letter
Special Correspondent
CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Congress Committee President K.V. Thangkabalu has lodged a police complaint stating that he has received a threat letter.
According to police sources, the party's headquarters secretary, Maqbool Jan, representing Mr. Thangkabalu, gave a complaint that one Parithi Elango claiming to be a ‘Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi' functionary had written a letter threatening the TNCC president. He claimed to be in possession of some documents pertaining to the assets owned by Mr. Thangkabalu. The letter was received at Sathyamurthy Bhavan. “It appears to be the handiwork of some miscreants. We are investigating the source of the letter,” a police official said.
