National grandhalaya celebrations from Nov. 14

VIZIANAGARAM: Zilla Grandhalaya Samstha has decided to celebrate the 43 {+r} {+d} National Grandhalaya celebrations in a befitting manner for a week from November 14.

MP Botcha Jhansi Lakshmi would unfurl the National Flag and light the lamp to mark the inauguration of the celebrations here on that day, said samstha chairman Rongali Pothanna. At a press conference on Wednesday, Mr. Pothanna said that she would also launch e-Grandhalaya on that day. During the week, he said competitions and cultural programmes would be organised. Minister for Panchayat Raj Botcha Satyanarayana would participate in the valedictory on November 20. He said that the government released Rs.1.50 crores arrears. Of the sum, Rs.50 lakhs was earmarked for the development of grandhalaya samstha and Rs.50,000 for development of Gurajada Kala Bharati.
