New train numbers

Guntur: The Railway Board will be introducing five digit numbering scheme for all trains with effect from December 20, 2010. Accordingly all categories of trains like ordinary, express, super-fast express, Garib Rath, Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Jan Shatabdi or special trains etc will have five digits in their numbers.

Narayanadri, Falaknuma, Narsapur, Sabari, Amaravathi, Golkonda, Simhadri, Visakha, Circar, Palnadu, Guntur-Secunderabad Intercity, Machilipatnam-Yeshvantpur and Bhavanagar-Kakinada express trains running through Guntur division will have 1 prefixed to their existing numbers.
