Staff Reporter

On an outlay of Rs. 1.29 crore, says Municipal Chairman

Nagercoil: Anna Bus Stand at Meenakshipuram here would be renovated on an outlay of Rs. 1.29 crore, said Municipal Chairman Ashokan Solomon.

He said that passengers as well as the crew had been facing hardship since the bus stand was full of potholes. The work would start on Monday.

All the buses being operated from this bus stand would start from the eastern part of Vadaserry bus stand so that the public and students were not affected.

Traffic police would regulate the traffic and also offer assistance to passengers.

The adequate police personnel attached to the traffic wing would be pressed in to service to regulate the bus service as well as to extend the assistance to the passengers. The renovation work would be completed within nine months, said Mr. Solomon.
