DPS destroys Oxford

Bangalore: Delhi Public School (East) plundered seven unanswered goals against Oxford School in the Mahindra Youth Football Challenge under-14 inter-school football tournament at the BUFC ground here on Sunday. Goutham Mishra scored a hat-trick while Aditya Dube and Akash Raj helped themselves to two goals each. In the day's other match, National High School (Basavanagudi) edged out Presidency School (R.T. Nagar) 9-8 in the tie-breaker, after both sides had failed to score in regulation time.

The results: Delhi Public School (East) 7 (Aditya Dube 5, 33, Akash Raj 15, 26, Goutham Mishra 18, 20, 47) bt Oxford School (J.P. Nagar) 0; National HS (Basavanagudi) 9 bt Presidency School (R.T. Nagar) 8 via tie-breaker (Regulation time score: 0-0) .
