Organ donation awareness rally held

HYDERABAD: Innova Children's Heart Hospital, Mohan Foundation and Standing Committee of Tarnaka Residents Welfare Association (Scotrwa) organised ‘Organ Donation Awareness Rally' and felicitation programme for relatives of organ donors at Innova Children's Hospital, Tarnaka on Sunday.

The rally, which passed through several streets at Tarnaka, was flagged off by Joint Commissioner of Police Amit Garg.

Later, during the felicitation, Secunderabad MLA Jayasudha pledged to donate organs and provide fresh lease of life to the needy, a press release stated.

Chairman of Innova Hospitals K. S. Murthy, K. Raghuram of Mohan Foundation, president of Scotrwa, Rao Chelikani and many others were present.

Several participants in the felicitation programme also pledged to donate their organs and encourage their friends, relatives and acquaintances to do the same.
