Chief Minister launches ‘Bala Kendra'

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K. Rosaiah on Children's Day, launched an initiative ‘Bala Kendra' under which school students will be imparted training in creative arts and martial arts.
At a programme organised in AP Social Welfare Residential School for Girls here in Rangareddy district on Sunday, the Chief Minister handed over equipment worth Rs.6 lakh to the schools concerned.
An initiative under Rajiv Vidya Mission Sarva Sikha Abhiyan, it will impart training in painting, music, dance and martial arts like karate and kung fu. A first in the State, Bala Kendra will initially be implemented in six mandals of Rangareddy district.
