NEW DELHI: Mait Shaphrang Nengnong pumped in five goals, including a hat-trick, as Umroi Presbyterian Secondary School, Meghalaya, thumped Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Chala (Gujarat) 8-0 in the under-14 Subroto Cup football tournament here on Tuesday. Jobstar Shylla, Trybolang and Pynskhem Makroh scored a goal apiece for the Meghalaya outfit. G. Topno, Subham and U. Rabha found the target in Assamese team Srimanta Sankardev High School's 3-0 victory over St. John Workman Senior Secondary School, Dhanwad (Chhattishgarh). Vanmalsawma struck four goals in Hmar Veng High School's 12-0 drubbing of Don Bosco High School, Panaji. Zonunsiama (2), Malsawmkima (2), Lalmuanzuala (2), Igakvanlalpeka and Lalrochhara contributed in the Mizoram school's onslaught. Victor (2) and Daniel hit the target as Pilgrim School, Dimapur (Nagaland), blanked Sainik School, Imphal, 3-0. The match between Takshashila Academy, Nepal, and Children Treasure High School, Manipur, ended in a goalless draw.
