Rosaiah releases EPDCL safety manual

He compliments the steps being taken for the safety of consumers



Safety matters:Chief Minister K. Rosaiah releasing the safety manual of APEPDCL in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday.

VISAKHAPATNAM: Chief Minister K. Rosaiah on Tuesday released a safety manual brought out by APEPDCL for its employees at the Circuit House.

APEPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Nadeem Ahmad detailed the safety programmes being taken up during the Safety Week celebrations.

The Chief Minister complimented the steps being taken for the safety of consumers and employees.

He hoped the illustrated manual would be useful in ensuring the safety of employees.

Director (operations) H.Y. Dora and CGM (operations and customer service) B. Ramesh Prasad were present.

Rousing reception

A grand reception was accorded to Chief Minister K. Rosaiah when he arrived by a special helicopter at INS Dega airport on Tuesday evening.

Accompanied by PCC president D. Srinivas and Rajya Sabha member T. Subbarami Reddy, he was received by Minister for Tribal Welfare P. Balaraju, former Minister Konathala Ramakrishna, Congress MLAs Dronamraju Srinivas, Tynala Vijaya Kumar and Malla Vijaya Prasad and PRP MLA M. Srinivasa Rao.

Braving rain, scores of Congress workers were present at the airport to accord a rousing reception to Mr. Rosaiah. Several leaders and officials called on Mr. Rosaiah at Circuit House. Representatives from various unions of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant urged him to use his good office for allotment of captive mines.

The Chief Minister is scheduled to address a meeting after distributing loans to the tune of Rs.20.3 crore to self-help groups at Swarnabharati Indoor Stadium at 10.30 a.m. and party workers meeting in connection with 125 {+t} {+h} Foundation Day celebration at AU Convocation Hall at 11.30 a.m on Wednesday.

Later he will fly to Tirupati by a special flight.
