CDFA to conduct trials
Coimbatore: The Coimbatore District Football Association will conduct selection trials for its under-13 boys' team at the Nehru Stadium here on November 17 and 18 at 3.30 p.m.
The selected bunch will represent the district in the State championship to be held at Krishnagiri from November 27. Players born on or after January 1, 1998 are eligible.
Chess tournament
SRM Chess Academy, affiliated to the Coimbatore District Chess Association, will conduct a one-day chess tournament for various age groups at the Brindavan Vidhyalaya MHSS in Kavundampalayam on November 21.

State-level volleyball
SVS Educational Institutions will conduct a State-level volleyball tournament for school children for the SVS Rolling Trophy at its campus from November 18 to 20.
