TIRUPATTUR: The Sub-Collector-Tirupattur will conduct enquiry into two cases of unnatural deaths of women in Tirupattur sub-division. On Friday, the sub-division registered four cases of unnatural deaths of which three were married women. According to officials, the Sub-Collector will conduct enquiry into the suspicious deaths of 22-year-old Mobina alias Kamrunisha and 19-year-old Annapoorani. The two women had died in unnatural circumstances within three years of marriage. According to police, Mobina alias Kamrunisha of Tirupattur town had allegedly committed suicide by hanging. She was married to Siddhique Basha for two years and had a 10-month old girl baby. Tirupattur Town police have registered a case. In another case, Tirupattur taluk police have registered a case of death due to poison in which Annapoorani of Naduvur, Javadhu Hills had allegedly committed suicide by consuming pesticide. She was married for three years and had a one-and-a-half year old baby. Following quarrel with her husband Vedi, she was staying with her parents for the last one year, according to police. The Sub-Collector will conduct enquiry into these two cases registered under Section 174 of Code of Criminal Procedure as these are cases of unnatural deaths of women occurring within seven years of marriage. In a case, Vijaya (28) of Murthiyur in Madalavaadi allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a well. She died of drowning. She was married for 14 years and had two sons. Her husband had frequently demanded that she bring money from her father. Jolarpet police have registered a case. Chinnaraj (63) of Arunakalasamypatti. Vengalapuram was found dead in a well. Tirupattur taluk police have registered a case, according to police.
