Diabetes awareness rally held

Tirupur: The Lions Club of Dollar City, Tirupur, and the Lotus Eye Care Hospital, Tirupur, conducted a diabetes awareness rally here on Monday. The rally was flagged off by Mayor K. Selvaraj in front of the Corporation office and culminated at Kumaran Memorial. About 350 people from different segments of the society, who constituted the rally, carried placards that carry details of diabetes mellitus and how it could be prevented.

At the end of the rally, ophthalmologists from the Lotus eye care hospital explained to the public the importance of life style management to prevent diabetes.
