Yogesh Nagar was ‘called' by umpire Asnani NEW DELHI: Delhi and Gujarat carried the Ranji Trophy super league contest into the final day with both nurturing hopes of achieving their mission. Delhi will press for a win, needing eight more wickets. Gujarat, looking healthy in its response, will be happy with a draw at the Ferozeshah Kotla. The star of the day for Delhi was Yogesh Nagar. He made a fluent 151 and then blotted his performance when he was ‘called' by umpire Sudhir Asnani. The young Delhi cricketer was on the list of suspects and unwisely attracted attention for his dodgy action. He had done a brilliant job wit the bat, facing 260 balls and hitting 15 fours and two sixes. His fourth-wicket association with Shikhar Dhawan was worth 197 runs. Dawan, 16 overnight, made 149 of 246 balls with 17 fours. Strong reply Gujarat, after the disastrous first-innings performance of 71, replied strongly in its second venture through Jay Desai (49 off 80 balls with ten fours) and Priyank Panchal (60 batting off 110 balls with eight fours). But Gujarat was jolted by the dismissal of Niraj Patel to a diving catch at midwicket by Pradeep Sangwan. The scores: Gujarat — 1st innings: 71. Delhi — 1st innings: Shikhar Dhawan c B.
