MYSORE: The Mysore chapter of the People For Animals (PFA) has organised a stray dog adoption programme on its premises on Sunday. A PFA release said that Indian pariah dogs and cross-breeds are best suited for Indian conditions as they are genetically less prone to diseases. As they have less fur, they are also easy to maintain. Despite this, Indian dogs tend to lead a “miserable life on the streets because of ignorance”, the release added. The adoption programme will be held from 10.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at PFA, survey number 280, Roopa Nagar, Bogadi, Mysore.
