Schoolboy claims he was kidnapped

Tirupur: A 13-year-old student of a government school at Udumalpet was allegedly kidnapped and released on Saturday. The Udumalpet police are questioning the boy about his claims that he was kidnapped by three persons who came in a van while he was riding a bicycle.

Police sources told The Hindu that the boy had been claiming that he was dropped in a small well on a farm premises situated along the Udumalpet-Pollachi highway by the kidnappers.
