Inter-school basketball
KOCHI: The third Fr. George Koyikara endowment inter-school basketball tournament begins at the Sacred Heart CMI Public School, Thevara, on Tuesday.
Thirteen teams will figure in the three-day event for boys. Athletics Olympian K.M. Binu will inaugurate the tournament at 10 a.m.
The groupings:
Pool A: Global Public School, Toc-H, Bhavan's Girinagar, Don Bosco-Vaduthala (all Kochi).
Pool B: Kochi's Sacred Heart PS ‘B', Thrissur's SN Vidhyabhavan, Kalamassery's St. Paul's International and Kochi's Navanirman.
Pool C: Sacred Heart PS ‘A', Mathanagar PS, Dawn International, Gregorian (all Kochi).
(The top team from each pool will join Kottayam's Girideepam in the semifinals). — Special Correspondent
