MYSORE: Baroda medium-pacers Abhijith Karambelkar and Abu Ansari made good use of the overcast conditions to bowl out Karnataka for 213 on the opening day of their C.K. Nayudu (under-22) quarterfinal tie here on Wednesday. Baroda was zero for one in reply. At Vijayawada, a fine unbeaten century by Swapnil Gugale helped Maharashtra score 229 for one against Andhra. The scores: At Mysore: Karnataka 213 in 86.1 overs (Abrar Khazi 54, Pawan Deshpande 39, Mayank Agarwal 33, S. Sanjay Kumar 27, Abhijith Karambelkar four for 49, Abu Ansari four for 42) v Baroda zero for one in 0.5 overs. At Vijayawada: Maharashtra 229 for one in 80 overs (Swapnil Gugale 114 batting, Rohan Bhosale 59, V.V. More 41 batting) v Andhra .
