Bid to attack prisoners on court campus: Two held

PUDUKOTTAI: Two persons who allegedly attempted to attack under-trial prisoners at the District Sessions Court here on Thursday, were arrested.
Police said Ranjitkanna and M. Prabhu escaped in a car after hurling some deadly weapons at three under-trial prisoners involved in a murder case on the court campus. Police chased the car and arrested the duo.
The police have registered a case and launched a search for two others. M.S. Muthusamy, Superintendent of Police, honoured the police officials with cash award for their timely action.
