All eyes on Bolisetti

CHENNAI: The fifth and penultimate round of the JK Tyre National racing championship will see the resumption of competition in various categories at the Madras Motor Race Track here on November 27 and 28.

In the VW Polo Cup, leader Sailesh Bolisetti of RAD Racing will look to add to his 271 points. Bolisetti's closest challenger is Amaron Pro Racing's Parth Ghorpade (251).

In the Formula Swift class, Ajay Kini of Wallace Sports (61) leads by 17 points over teammate Gautam Parekh. Ameya Walwalkar of TVS Girling is in third place with 43.

The battle in the Super Saloons category will be between Bolisetti (68) and Siddharth Kishore of Performance Racing (45), with Prime Racing's Vidya Prakash (31) presently a distant third.

The Polo Cup race on Sunday will be flagged off by Ulrich Hackenberg, management board member, Volkswagen. The weekend action will also include a ‘ladies race' featuring Bollywood actor Gul Panag. — Principal Correspondent
