CHENNAI: OSIBISA, a band with a unique fusion of African, Caribbean, rock, jazz, Latin, and R&B, is back again in Chennai after the pulsating performance last year. The band will be playing at Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao concert hall, Chetpet, on November 26. The band paved the way for many icons of music such as Bob Marley and played a key role in the emergence of African music in the 1980s. Energetic shows OSIBISA entered into the world of music in 1971 and its highly energetic and extravagant stage show still remains inimitable. The band has been touring across the globe and especially, in India, which resulted in No.1 Gold Album. The group comprises Teddy Osei (saxophone), Colin Graham (trumpet), Kofi Ayivor, Nii Tagoe (percussion, congas), Sol Amarfio, KB (drums), Bessa Simons, Kwame Yeboah, Chris Jerome, Emmanuel Rentzos (keyboards), Kari Bannerman, Gregg Kofi Brown, Wendell Richardson (guitars), Victor Mensah, Herman Asafo (bass guitar), Gregg Kofi Brown, Teddy Osei, Emmanuel Rentzos and Wendell Richardson (vocals).
