Fuelling sense of inquiry

Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji, President, BGS International Residential School says the school is significantly different from most others. The endeavour is to churn out regularly quality material from amongst the learning community as the faculty at BGS IRS doesn't ever forget that the students will shortly constitute a sizable chunk of the society's future citizens.

It is a firm belief of the Swamiji that spirituality and education must go hand in hand. When reference is made to spirituality it is not just about praying, but about self-realisation that can be attained through meditation and yoga.

This is a sure way to make a student realise his or her capability, potentiality and talent. The Swamiji firmly believes that this in turn will bring about total transformation in a student not only in academics but also in physical, mental, emotional, social, aesthetic and creative thinking.

The school, affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) also offers pre-university education. BGS IRS believes that every student is special.

The talents, skills and the abilities of each student are identified, nurtured and encouraged to reach greater heights. There is openness and room for parents to participate in the welfare and growth of their wards. There is space for children to think, express, exhibit their skills and also empower them to negotiate several issues that confront them - the teacher being a facilitator.

BGS IRS is co-educational and residential school and it has a highly dedicated, globally-exposed and well-experienced faculty that is ready to drive the destiny of younger generation. Though academic excellence is a priority, it is not the only focus. Students are prepared for life. They are groomed to face the challenges of tomorrow and to be socially relevant. The cutting edge of BGS IRS is its highest quality of education and service, development of character, spirit, intellect and personality.

At BGS IRS, equal importance is given to extra and co-curricular activities thus grooming the complete personality of the student. With sports being encouraged in various disciplines, music, art, dance and drama classes are conducted with the support from qualified and renowned teachers.

“The world we live in today is extremely competitive. It is fast changing into a global village. We have to keep pace with it and play our definite role in the scheme of things,” adds Sri Prakashantha Swamiji, Managing Director of BGS IRS.
