Satisfied duo
Bangalore: Century makers Manish Pandey and C.M. Gautam expressed satisfaction after bailing out Karnataka against Orissa in the Ranji Trophy super league Group B match in progress here on Thursday.
“I needed to be patient and wait for the loose balls. But in the afternoon session I was able to loosen up a bit. I compare this knock to the one that I played last year in Meerut (against Uttar Pradesh). Then I had come out when the team had lost three quick wickets for some 20-odd runs,” said Pandey.
Gautam added: “The pitch eased a bit after lunch though the bowlers were still getting assistance. Our plan is to extend the lead to 250 or 300 so that we don't need to bat again.” — Special Correspondent
