Police to auction vehicles seized in PEW offences

Coimbatore: Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore Rural District, N. Kannan has said that the vehicles seized in various Prohibition Enforcement Wing (PEW) offences will be sold on public auction under “as is where is condition” at the PRS Grounds on Avanashi Road here on November 30 at 10 a.m.

Six trucks, 10 cars, three vans and four two-wheelers will be auctioned. The vehicles are now parked at PEW office in Pollachi Venkatesa Colony, Avanashi PEW office, Perur, KG Chavadi, Kinathukkadavu, Sulur, Negamam, Pollachi taluk, Anaimalai, Kottur and Mahalingapuram police stations.

Interested persons could personally check the vehicles till November 29. On successfully bidding for a vehicle, the bidder had to remit the entire amount in cash along with four per cent Sales Tax to take possession of the vehicle.
