BANGALORE: The Department of Media Studies, Christ University, will organise ‘Media Meet'-Moving Frames '10, a discourse on cinema, on November 29 and 30. Playback singer S.P. Balasubramaniam, film and theatre artiste Laxmi Chandrashekar, former president of the Film Federation of India M. Bhaktavatsala, Sneha Iype Varma and Prakash Varma from Nirvana Films and M. Balasubramanyan from AVM Studios will be among the participants. “We plan to make this an annual event focusing on a different media-related theme every year,” a press release from Christ University stated. The event will see media and communication students competing in intellectually and creatively stimulating events. The programmes for the two-day event include Cinergy (paper presentations), Hyde Park (debate), Cineque (film analysis), Focus… Shoot!
